Boltgun 2 enemies by faction
Last checked against official sources: 2026-09-27. Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 releases 2026-10-14.
Boltgun 2 is the first game in the series with all four Chaos gods. The developers say each faction is built to feel different:
- Khorne: Relentless melee pressure
- Nurgle: Area denial: poison zones keep you moving
- Tzeentch: Bullet-hell projectiles
- Slaanesh: Elusive, disorienting attackers
- Black Legion: Returning Chaos Space Marine forces
11 enemies revealed so far. Full stats (health, damage) are not public before launch; we will add them after October 14.
Khorne
Hellblade-wielding daemon that leaps at you from distance, then slashes.
First mounted unit in Boltgun. The Bloodletter rider can jump off, leaving you two enemies. The Juggernaut mount can eat nearby corpses to heal, sometimes its own former rider. Has a charge attack.

Nurgle
Added so every Chaos faction has marine units.
Throws blight grenades and slams a flail into the ground; both leave a poison hazard zone.
Small plague daemons, back from the first game.
Tzeentch
New Tzeentch marine unit.
One variant carries a Hellfyre Missile Rack that fires a rapid volley of missiles.
Slaanesh
Big arcing leaps, then a fast zig-zag phase attack. Up close it distorts your screen while clawing at you.
Black Legion / mixed
Fodder enemies from the first game; the demo swamp level ends with a horde of mutated cultists.
Allies
- Death Korps of Krieg (Astra Militarum): First allied units in Boltgun. They fight beside you on several levels, and do not survive long.
Tips from the demo
- Nurgle attacks leave poison zones on the ground, so keep moving instead of holding a corner.
- When a Bloodcrusher's rider jumps off, deal with it quickly: the Juggernaut can eat corpses (even its rider) to heal.
- Tzeentch Terminators with missile racks fill the air; break line of sight rather than trading shots.
