What kind of game is it?
A fast, pixel-art "boomer shooter" set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and a direct sequel to 2023's Boltgun. The story picks up right after the first game's ending. The campaign branches, and each of the two heroes gets their own levels.
Two heroes, pick one
- Malum Caedo: Ultramarine Sternguard Veteran (returning hero from Boltgun 1). Weapons shown so far: Boltgun, Shotgun, Plasma rifle.
- Nyra Veyrath: Sister of Battle (Adepta Sororitas), new in Boltgun 2. Weapons shown so far: Bolt pistol, Crossbow, Flamethrower.

All four Chaos gods
For the first time in Boltgun, all four Chaos factions show up, each designed to feel different to fight:
- Khorne: Relentless melee pressure
- Nurgle: Area denial: poison zones keep you moving
- Tzeentch: Bullet-hell projectiles
- Slaanesh: Elusive, disorienting attackers
- Black Legion: Returning Chaos Space Marine forces
