SignWell alternative: same yearly price, different trade

SignWell's entry plan is $120 a year. So is ours. Nobody wins this on price, which makes it a more useful comparison than most.

What differs is what happens when you add a second sender, what happens to a document you are only signing yourself, and whether you need a compliance certificate. Figures below come from SignWell's published pricing page.

Which one should you actually buy?

Buy SignWell if anyone in your buying chain asks for SOC 2 or HIPAA. We do not have them, we are not going to pretend a security page is the same thing, and if that box has to be ticked then this is not a close call.

Buy FairSign if you are one person paying monthly, if a second sender would otherwise cost you another $10 a month, or if it matters that signing your own documents never uploads them. Three seats cost $24 here against $120/yr plus $10/mo per extra sender there.

At one sender on an annual plan, the two are close enough that either is a reasonable choice. That is an honest answer and we would rather give it than manufacture a difference.

FAQ

Is FairSign cheaper than SignWell?
Not on the entry plan billed annually: both are $120 a year. It becomes cheaper as soon as you need more than one sender: SignWell adds $10/month each, while our Business plan is $24/month for 3 seats.
Does FairSign have SOC 2 or HIPAA?
No. We publish exactly how files are handled: encrypted in transit and at rest, deleted 30 days after completion, self-signing never uploaded. But that is a description of our practice, not an audited certification. If you need the certificate, SignWell has it and we do not.
Can I try both?
Yes. Both have a free tier that needs no card: three documents a month at SignWell, three signature requests a month here, plus unlimited self-signing that never leaves your browser.
