FairSign vs DocuSign

DocuSign is the name everyone knows, and for a large sales org with Salesforce workflows it earns its price. For everyone else, two numbers decide it: $30 per user per month, and a cap of 100 envelopes per user per year.

FairSign is $12 a month for unlimited signature requests, and signing your own documents is free forever with no account. Below is the honest side-by-side, and every figure about DocuSign comes from their published pricing page.

Who should pick which

Pick DocuSign if you need deep CRM integrations, SOC-heavy enterprise procurement, or a signing workflow that routes through many internal approvers. That is what the price buys, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Pick FairSign if you are a freelancer, a small studio, or a small business that sends contracts regularly and resents paying per seat for a feature you use a few times a week. You get unlimited requests for $12, a free tier that actually signs documents, and no exit fee.

If you are unsure: sign one document free right now, with no account and nothing uploaded, then decide from there.

FAQ

Is a FairSign signature as legally valid as a DocuSign one?
Both produce electronic signatures with an audit trail. FairSign attaches an audit certificate to every completed document recording who signed, when, and from where, plus a tamper-evident seal. Local law decides which document types allow e-signature, and that is the same for every provider.
Can I import my DocuSign templates?
Not directly. Re-upload the underlying PDF and place the fields once; FairSign saves it as a reusable template from then on. Most people move their three or four regular contracts in under ten minutes.
What happens when I hit DocuSign's 100-envelope cap?
DocuSign charges for additional envelope allowances. FairSign has no cap. Pro includes a fair-use ceiling of 200 requests per day purely to stop abuse, which we state plainly rather than hiding in the terms.
Do my signers need a FairSign account?
No. They receive a link, sign in the browser, and are done. No signup wall on the recipient side, and that is true on both platforms.
