Zoho Sign alternative: counting envelopes, per person

Zoho Sign counts 25 envelopes per user per month on Standard and five a month on the free plan. FairSign does not count envelopes at all and charges per account, not per user. Stay with Zoho if you already run on the Zoho suite.

Zoho Sign is genuinely inexpensive, and if your company already runs on Zoho CRM, Books and Mail, leaving is the wrong move. This page is not going to argue otherwise.

What sends people looking is the meter. The free tier is five envelopes a month for a single user, and the Standard plan counts 25 envelopes per user per month. You end up doing arithmetic every month about whether you can send one more contract.

Three signature requests a month, forever, with nothing counted against you. Self-signing is unlimited and never leaves your browser.

Which one should you actually buy?

Stay with Zoho Sign if you already pay for Zoho. A signature tool that writes back into the CRM you use every day is worth more than two dollars a month, and we cannot do that.

Come here if Zoho Sign is the only Zoho product you use, or if the envelope count is something you think about. One price, no meter, and no per-user maths: $24 covers 3 people.

Zoho's prices are not printed on their pricing page for the paid tiers, only the envelope allowances, which is itself a reason people go looking. The allowances above are quoted directly from that page.

FAQ

What is an envelope?
One document sent to one or more people for signature. Zoho Sign counts them per user per month on the Standard plan. We do not count them at all on the paid plan, which is the whole difference between the two pricing models.
Can FairSign write back into a CRM?
Not directly. There is a REST API and a webhook that fires when a document is signed, so it can be wired into something, but there is no ready-made Zoho CRM integration and pretending otherwise would waste your time.
What happens to my files?
Signing your own document happens entirely in your browser and the file never reaches our servers. A document you send to someone else is transferred and stored encrypted, then deleted 30 days after completion.
